Deep remorse? I am dubious from a country that has a known doctrine (the Hannibal doctrine) to kill their soldiers and citizens rather than let them be captured or, worse yet, become witnesses to what Israel keeps getting exposed doing, which is wantonly killing their own citizens. A government that attacked a US ship and shot our sailors in the water to try to pull us into a war. Yeah, sure.
