I don't agree. Yes, the gov't cannot coerce or pay or intimidate or use any other method to sway or demand silence on a particular subject. But you're looking at it from a narrow definition of 'free speech'. You're either free to speak on any subject, or you're not. Twitter or any other open forum should be considered the same level as a newspaper or, a soapbox or any medium designed to provide information that our gov't cannot limit. You want to experience 'free speech? Go to GAB.com for a sample. A lot of what's there is trash, vulgar language, anti-Semitic, anti-black etc. But YOU and I have the God given right to say it. If you don't like what you read, ignore it, delete it, block it and so on, just as I do. You might even try to persuade them to see the other side, as is your right to freely discuss. But to limit what Elon is now doing,... is wrong.

Biden campaign and the DNC are not the government. The Trump White House is the government. Why was the Trump White House asking Twitter to censor citizens.

As I understand it, is it essentially a “publisher” or is it a “public soapbox”? If a “publisher”, as Twitter asserted before Congress (= no oversight), or if a public soapbox the Free Speech pversight applies. If soapbox standards of decency can, pre-published, apply, so, too, laws relative to threats, incitement, etc apply. Obviously, the pat several years were standards and laws were ignored as since they were not only allowed carte blanche cencorship they were also working in concert with CIA, FBI, Congress, etc which raises a lot of culpability and collusion questions ranging from RICO, 1stA violations, even treason related criminal activity. One example, censoring the Hunter laptop story caused many people to not vote for Trump which would be a domestic treasonous act of insurrection and overthrow of the government .

With foreign concerns involved in the ownership and/or management of the business foreign treason also comes into play.

Your right in many ways Mr.Rucker. The governments job is to protect our rights as citizens first and foremost and using a 3rd party to initiate propaganda and censorship’s is illegal in many ways you have pointed out.

It’s not the name “Twitter” that’s now in new hands that’s accountable under new leadership, it’s the rogue employees of a company that took a paycheck to violate our rights while using an American Soil taxpayer funded entity to push illegal actions upon their very neighbors and friends.

Those actions are criminal, and each of them who participated should be charged with federal crimes.
