David Hogg is NOT a "Parkland shooting survivor" any more than you or I. He was NOT at the scene when the shooting occurred but only immediately afterward. So his claim to fame is 100% false. He is just a dopey kid, son of a Fed, who parrots the Party line.
The woman is a criminal, there is no emergency clause anywhere that allows her to suspend the Constitution, people's constitutional rights. She has no legal authority to do so and she should be removed from office and charged for her crimes.
Governor Lujan has made a national political mistake. The nation is in no mood to accept arbitrary edicts by any elected official, that take away rights. This argument that "no right is absolute" is BS. And, no politician can arbitrarily decide which rights aren't absolute. This however is not the mistake.
The country will watch the people of New Mexico. If they are docile and accept the governor's edict, she can keep this in place until someone with "standing" can get this to the US Supreme Court.
The alternative ending does not require standing and will be more action oriented. There will be people carrying in public. What she can do and will do, will provide an exact example, in 1:50 scale, that can be expected in the greater US, if attempted nationally.
She is taking action against lawful gun owners in an attempt to curb gun violence, by criminals. She just popped the balloon Democrats have been puffing hot air into, for the last 50 years. Now, when a gun owner violates her law, in an effort to protect themselves outside and away from their home, they will be arrested and will in no way, take a bite out of crime.
If I were carrying in NM, I would have that edict laminated to my holster or rifle stock and have that as evidence in my trial. As a monthly subscriber of USCCA, I would be interested in their response to this. Recently, we have seen some corporations are not as 2A friendly as they advertise themselves to be.
This was a TEST for infringing our 2A rights via "EMERGENCY powers". If ONE Governor is successful, then ALL Governors will be successful. This was not done unknowingly or simply abusively, be aware of that!
